Core commitment: local records, kept on your device. The baking-record features of Baking Notes XD5 do not require an account or sign-in. They do not use a server to store your records and do not upload your records, notes, ingredients, steps, or images. Local record features do not connect to the internet.
1. Scope
This policy applies to local baking records, search, statistics, archiving, backups, and image management in Baking Notes XD5. By using these features, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
2. Information stored
To help you manage baking records, the app may store the following on your device:
- Record contentTitles, categories, notes, priorities, stages, ingredient lists, steps, and baking parameters.
- ImagesImages that you actively select or take and add to a record, plus local files or references needed to display them.
- SettingsInterface language, sort order, archive status, and other local preferences.
Through the local record features, we do not collect your name, phone number, email address, contacts, precise location, identity documents, facial information, or payment information, and we do not build a user profile to identify you.
3. Local storage and network use
- Records and settings are stored in the app's local storage on the current iPhone. Search, filtering, statistics, and archiving run on the device.
- The app does not require an account, provide a cloud database for your records, or upload record data to our servers.
- Local record features do not use ad tracking, behavioral analytics, personalized recommendations, or third-party profiling.
- If you actively use an iOS backup, migration, sharing, or other system service, that service may process data according to your settings and its own policy. This is not an automatic upload by the app.
4. Photos permission and saving images
The app requests the relevant iOS Photos permission only when you actively add an image, select a photo, or save an image to the system Photos library.
- Declining Photos permission does not affect text records, search, statistics, or archiving.
- Selected images are used only for the record or save action you request. The app does not scan, recognize, or upload your entire photo library.
- An image is saved to the Photos library only after you explicitly tap save or export. The app does not save images automatically in the background.
- You can change Photos permission at any time in iPhone Settings.
5. Export, sharing, and backup
When you actively choose to export, back up, or share, the app invokes the iOS system share or file picker. Whether data is sent to another app, device, or service is determined by your choice and that service's privacy policy. The app does not export or share local data automatically.
6. Deletion and control
- You can delete individual records or clear local data in the app. After deletion, the app no longer keeps the corresponding local record.
- Deleting the app removes data in its sandbox. Copies in system backups, exported files, or the Photos library must be managed separately in their respective system locations.
- Because we do not maintain a cloud account or server record database, there is no cloud account or server data to request that we delete.
7. Data security
The app relies on the iOS app sandbox and system permissions to limit access to local data. Protect your device passcode and do not share exported backups with untrusted parties. Risks caused by device-level backups, jailbreaking, malware, or third-party apps may be outside the app's control.
8. Children
The app does not require identity information and is not intended to collect children's personal information. Children should manage Photos permission, exported files, and system backups with a parent or guardian.
9. Policy updates
We may update this policy when local-record features, permission use, or legal requirements change. The new version and effective date will be shown in the app or on the app's publishing page. If an update introduces a new data practice, we will provide appropriate notice before enabling it.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or local data handling, contact us through the developer support channel shown on the app's publishing page and include the app version when possible. Because the app does not keep server-side user records, we cannot look up your local data through an account or cloud database.
